We are seeking a highly skilled Part-Time Payroll & Tax Coordinator to join our team at Exxel Outdoors LLC in Broomfield, Colorado. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing, tax compliance, and accounting.

Job Description

The Part-Time Payroll & Tax Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the delivery of compliant, accurate, and timely payrolls. This includes managing ADP payroll processing function, maintaining payroll guidelines, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

This role requires a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills. The successful candidate will be able to work independently, exercise professional judgment, and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage ADP payroll processing function to ensure compliant, accurate, and timely payrolls.
  • Maintain payroll guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including tax payments and filings.
  • Reconcile and investigate payroll tax liability accounts.
  • Partner with HR to ensure data and accounting accuracy of employees.

Sales/Use Tax (will be owned with the Accounting team)

  • Review and submit required sales/use tax filings.
  • Manage property tax and other non-income-based taxes, filings, and audits.
  • Lead sales and use tax audits and other transaction tax-related compliance of affiliated entities.
  • Analyze general ledger account activities and research sales and use tax statutes, regulations, and court rulings.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 2 years of payroll processing experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting preferred.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now.
  • Payroll tax experience.
  • Strong knowledge of sales and use tax laws, particularly with software companies.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with clients, employees, and staff in multiple departments.
  • Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and keep management updated on a recurring basis.

Salary Range
