About the Role

Cisco is seeking a highly skilled Security Solutions Expert to join our Global Security Sales Organization (GSSO). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the success of Cisco's Security Portfolio and focusing on protecting customer application environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in Cisco security solutions and provide guidance and assistance to account teams within the territory in building solutions to address specific customer security needs.
  • Understand business requirements for a customer base and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Articulate Cisco's architecture and services within security technologies and create, present, and document technical solutions.
  • Perform in-depth and high-level technical presentations for customers, partners, and prospects.
  • Drive identified major account opportunities while allowing local account teams to maintain long-term ownership.
  • Create collateral for internal and external audiences as well as industry publications to showcase the capabilities of our integrated products to meet customer requirements.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 6 years of technical sales or pre-sales experience.
  • Minimum 4+ years with security specialization experience using Firewall (NGFW/IDS/IPS), Content Security (Email, Web, DNS Protection), Endpoint Protection (EPP), Threat Detection and Response (EDR), Access Control, Cloud Native Security, SIEM, or SOAR technologies.
  • Successful quota achievement.
  • Proven track record of managing and winning technical and high-value IT security projects.
  • Experience in administering low-layer (packet-level) IP networking, and a thorough understanding of network security.
Preferred Qualifications
  • An active TS security clearance, Public Trust, or the ability and willingness to obtain a US Government clearance is highly desired.
  • BS/BA (EE/CS) or equivalent is highly preferred.
  • Ability to articulate security architecture integrated with other technologies (cloud, networking, datacenter).
  • Desirable experience with Cisco security technologies, and administering Unix/Linux systems.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, Unix Shell, Perl, or Powershell.
  • Highly motivated self-starter who does not need day-to-day management.
  • Solid presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Industry awareness and strong communication skills.
