Job Summary

The Host position is a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences at The Loft. As a Host, you will be responsible for greeting and assisting guests in a positive, welcoming, and professional manner. Your primary goal will be to anticipate guests' needs and respond accordingly with a sense of urgency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guest Greeting and Seating: Consistently follow the Food & Beverage sequence of service, utilizing all proper procedures standardized by venue managers and chefs.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with management, chefs, and service staff to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and other associates.
  • Flow Control: Greet and seat guests, controlling the flow of guests coming into the restaurant, bar, and lounge while under pressure.
  • Communication: Answer telephones and direct calls where necessary, and oversee daily restaurant reservations, pre-assigning seating where necessary.

Requirements

  • Previous Experience: Previous hotel or restaurant experience is preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task are required.
  • Language Proficiency: Must be able to read and write in English proficiently.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill tasks, and physically able to lift and carry heavy trays and equipment.

Compensation

The pay scale for this position is $18.00 per hour.
