Ultrasound Technician PRN Position

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technician PRN to join our team at Research Medical Center. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our imaging department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform sonography procedures, including routine sonograms and interventional sonograms, under the direction of a radiologist.
  • Participate in Performance Improvement and Quality Improvement activities to ensure optimal patient care and departmental efficiency.
  • Work within established policies and procedures, adhering to safety and infection control guidelines, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology and/or School of Sonography.
  • Obtain Sonography, Registered Radiographer (ARRT), or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer certification within 1 year of employment start date.
  • ARDMS and RVT registration required within 12 months of hire.
  • BLS Certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required within 30 days of hire.
  • Minimum of one-year hospital department experience in medical sonography, including biopsies.
