Ultrasound Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Technician to join our team at Midwest Womens Healthcare. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the accuracy of diagnostic results.

• Perform ultrasonic diagnostic procedures as directed by physicians, utilizing advanced equipment and techniques to produce high-quality images.
• Schedule patients for ultrasonic diagnostic procedures, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing wait times.
• Explain procedures to patients, providing clear instructions and reassurance to ensure optimal test results.
• Position patients and select the appropriate transducer, ensuring accurate and comfortable imaging.
• Conduct scanning procedures using ultrasound equipment, adjusting settings as needed to optimize image quality.
• Make hard copy images and document tests, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
• Maintain ultrasound equipment, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
• Order and stock all ultrasound supplies, ensuring a well-stocked and organized department.
• Maintain department records, reports, and files, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Minimum one year experience as an ultrasound technologist/sonographer.
• Certification in diagnostic ultrasound, in accordance with state regulations (ARRT, ARDMS).
