Ultrasound Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Technician to join our team at Midwest Womens Healthcare. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the accuracy of diagnostic results.
Key Responsibilities- Perform ultrasonic diagnostic procedures as directed by physicians, utilizing advanced equipment and techniques to produce high-quality images.
- Schedule patients for ultrasonic diagnostic procedures, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing wait times.
- Explain procedures to patients, providing clear instructions and reassurance to ensure optimal test results.
- Position patients and select the appropriate transducer, ensuring accurate and comfortable imaging.
- Conduct scanning procedures using ultrasound equipment, adjusting settings as needed to optimize image quality.
- Make hard copy images and document tests, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
- Order and stock all ultrasound supplies, ensuring a well-stocked and organized department.
- Maintain department records, reports, and files, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Minimum one year experience as an ultrasound technologist/sonographer.
- Certification in diagnostic ultrasound, in accordance with state regulations (ARRT, ARDMS).
