Agricultural Equipment Technician

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Agricultural Equipment Technician to join our team at American Implement. As an Agricultural Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing various systems of agricultural equipment to ensure our customers' operations run smoothly.

This is a full-time position with 45+ hours/week, offering a competitive hourly wage range of $16-$40+ depending on experience, plus eligible for overtime and commission. Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on agricultural equipment.
  • Perform diagnosis and plan effective repairs of machinery.
  • Prepare reports and forms required for work assignments.
  • Follow production schedules and requirements for completion of assignments.
  • Participate in Service Training programs to develop skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment in good condition.
  • Comply with all safety rules and regulations.
  • Provide professional and courteous service to customers.


Requirements:
  • Three to five years' experience in maintenance and repair of agricultural equipment.
  • John Deere Tech graduate, John Deere Technician experience, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience in the use of diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to operate vehicles and equipment for diagnostic purposes.
  • Computer skills.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Set of tools to perform equipment repairs and maintenance.
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record required.


Physical Requirements:

Extended periods of standing, walking, bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching overhead, regularly lifting 75 lbs without assistance, grasping with both hands, pushing and pulling, working around moving machinery, driving a vehicle, extensive hours on a computer, hearing normal tones, and seeing. May be exposed to extreme weather conditions from extreme heat to winter blizzard conditions.
