Position Overview:
The Retail Associate II role is pivotal in delivering exceptional customer service to our valued clients, including retail customers, grower-owners, and employees of Blue Diamond Growers who visit our Nut & Gift Shop. This position involves operating the cash register, managing financial transactions, and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for all patrons.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding customer service by assisting customers with their purchases and inquiries.
- Handle merchandise, including packing, sealing, and organizing products for display.
- Support warehouse operations by retrieving and stocking product orders, utilizing equipment as necessary.
- Assist in E-Commerce operations by providing backup support when required.
- Maintain product quality by adhering to customer specifications and identifying any defective items.
- Participate in regular inventory counts to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Engage in general maintenance and cleanliness of the Nut & Gift Shop environment.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- A minimum of one year of experience in retail or customer service.
- Proficiency in operating cash registers and handling monetary transactions accurately.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety protocols.
- Availability to work weekends and overtime as needed.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting or operating forklifts.
Physical Requirements:
This role requires the ability to stand for long durations, perform repetitive lifting, and engage in various physical activities including bending and twisting. The work environment includes both retail and production areas, with occasional exposure to outdoor elements.
