Job Title: Fleet Operations Supervisor

Shift: Extended Coverage

Department: Operations

Reports to: Terminal Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage all aspects of driver operations, including but not limited to:

  • Safety and compliance adherence
  • Employee relations and support
  • Customer service and claims management
  • Breakdown and recovery processes

Ensure effective communication with load planners and customer service teams to guarantee timely deliveries and accuracy of loads.

Coordinate with maintenance teams to facilitate timely preventative maintenance and repairs for fleet vehicles.

Support HR initiatives as required, including documentation for payroll, disciplinary actions, and fostering communication between drivers and management.

Prepare and administer daily and weekly operational reports.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on business needs.

Experience: Previous supervisory experience is preferred, ideally within the transportation sector.

Qualifications:

  • General experience in the transportation industry
  • Proficient in standard computer applications
  • Familiarity with TMW and/or Qualcomm systems is advantageous
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong understanding of FMCSA Hours of Service regulations
  • Excellent time management abilities with effective prioritization skills
  • A reliable leader and team player

Education: A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
