Overview:

In the role of Junior Electrical Systems Engineer, you will engage in the design, development, and validation of embedded electronic systems from initial concept to final production.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Select suitable components to fulfill design specifications.
  • Assess new and existing circuits for functionality and compliance with electrical qualification standards.
  • Employ simulation tools and prototype testing to verify new circuits and subsystems.
  • Create and review schematics and PCB layouts.
  • Document designs to ensure operational integrity and articulate design choices and trade-offs.
  • Conduct hardware validation, driver development, and assist in manufacturing programming and testing processes.
  • Support troubleshooting and field return analysis.
  • Participate in schematic, layout, IO selection, and hardware requirement reviews with team members.
  • Monitor task progress for effective planning.
  • Work under guidance and supervision.

Qualifications:

We are looking for an entry-level engineer with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. An internship in a related field is preferred.

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Proficiency in CAD tools for schematic and PCB layout design, with a preference for Altium or Mentor Graphics.
  • Experience with programming languages such as C/C++ and Linux.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., TCL, Python, Bash) for automation of vendor tools and testing.
  • Basic networking knowledge and experience with Linux.
  • The ability to apply design principles and methodologies effectively.
  • A collaborative spirit, self-motivation, and the capacity to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with team members and leadership.

Travel may be required based on the position. US Citizenship may be necessary for certain roles.
