Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee scheduling tasks for multiple active construction projects, typically ranging from 3 to 5.
  • Guide and mentor junior schedulers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor schedule impacts, develop schedule fragnets, and perform time impact analyses.
  • Conduct site visits with project teams to assess project progress and identify potential issues.
  • Utilize Primavera P6 Standalone for scheduling tasks.
  • Regularly provide updates on schedules and project narratives.
  • Comprehend all project components, including drawings, contractual obligations, site conditions, and risks that may affect project completion.
  • Assist in educating project team members on CPM scheduling principles.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Establish and manage Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Planning & Scheduling department.
  • Create summary schedules for pre-construction phases.
  • Develop baseline schedules for project tracking.
  • Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and training of new scheduling professionals as the company expands.
  • Delegate project assignments to the scheduling team effectively.
  • Monitor project performance through executive dashboards.
  • Analyze performance trends and devise strategies to enhance project outcomes.
  • Formulate the annual budget for the department.

Qualifications:

  • A four-year degree in a construction-related field (e.g., BSCE, BSCM, BSAE) is preferred; equivalent work experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 is essential.
  • Experience in field construction management as a Superintendent or Project Manager is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years in Construction Management, including at least 5 years as a Planner/Scheduler, with a preference for multifamily construction experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading teams and construction coordination meetings.
  • Ability to take on a leadership role within the organization and assert oneself when necessary.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail are required.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.
