About the Position:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Lead Behavioral Health Technician. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with mental health needs.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise PRN Behavioral Health Technicians and provide guidance on program policies and procedures
- Coordinate program activities and respond to emergency situations
- Assist in crisis intervention and manage unit supplies
- Ensure adequate staffing and monitor unit safety
- Facilitate educational groups and teach coping skills
- Oversee clients' performance of ADLs and encourage adherence to treatment goals
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with coursework in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field
- At least 1 year experience working with people with mental illness and co-occurring disorders
- Valid driver's license in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Ability to work weekends, variable shifts, and holidays
- Basic typing and computer skills
