Key Responsibilities:

Peraton is looking for a Tier II Technical Support Specialist to join our diverse and skilled team.

The selected candidate will be part of Peraton's Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Infrastructure Managed Services (IMS) Program.

This program focuses on modernizing and streamlining the operational environment to enhance the services offered to our clients.

Daily Duties

Core Responsibilities:

Provides advanced technical support and guidance on the installation, adaptation, configuration, or enhancement of company products and services.


Handles Tier II problem resolution via phone, guiding users through a series of troubleshooting steps to identify and classify the issues.


Possesses extensive knowledge in computer hardware, software, and networking systems utilized at client locations.

Offers expertise in resolving technical issues, troubleshooting products, and customizing solutions to meet client needs.

Delivers expert support for the installation and repair of complex systems and outages.

Reviews system configurations to ensure successful service implementation.


Maintains system stability through advanced analytical techniques, timely incident resolution, and proactive maintenance to maximize availability and minimize downtime.

Collaborates with developers and engineers to mitigate recurring incidents.

Provides consultative assistance during off-hours as necessary.

Contributes to continuous process improvement for support tools and troubleshooting methods.

Works with R&D in testing and optimizing product support techniques and tools.

Communicates relevant issues to internal personnel regarding specific accounts.

Evaluates the effectiveness of known solutions for reported problems and applies them as needed.

Assesses the severity and complexity of reported issues and escalates to the appropriate specialist when necessary.

Organizes troubleshooting workflows and prioritizes support tasks.

Provides training and guidance to clients.

Required Qualifications:

Basic

Essential Qualifications:

High School Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience

U.S. Citizenship is required; must possess a minimum of a Secret clearance or higher

3+ years of professional experience in a large Data Center environment

Familiarity with Remedy software (or similar tools) for tracking incidents and service requests throughout their lifecycle

Experience with technical standards, principles, and theories

Must be able to obtain Security+ certification within 6 months of employment

Ability to work flexible shifts is required.

Must be available for any of the following shifts:
6am-2:30pm CST

2:30pm-10:30pm CST

10:30pm-6:30am CST

Salary Range:
$39,000 - $62,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
