Overview:
We are in search of a skilled Power Supply Design Engineer to contribute to the innovative design of tactical power destruction architecture and grounding systems within advanced program sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop power regulation and distribution systems for customized advanced circuit card solutions.
- Engage in complex analog and power circuit card design, focusing on power conversion, isolation, grounding, and distribution for sensor systems.
- Demonstrate exceptional communication skills and the ability to work autonomously in a dynamic design environment.
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven experience in complex analog and power circuit card design.
- Strong background in power circuit analysis.
- Expertise in input power filter design and E3 (EMI, EMC) considerations for advanced electronic circuit cards.
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-461 standards for conducted emissions and susceptibility testing.
- Experience in analyzing electronic system power consumption and dissipation.
- Ability to create comprehensive system grounding diagrams with power isolation.
- Hands-on experience with CCA integration and testing tools, including power supplies and oscilloscopes.
- Competence in conducting design trade studies, evaluating cost, weight, packaging, and power benefits.
- Knowledge of parts and materials selection for CCA designs.
- Experience in capturing and deriving requirements for CCA designs.
- Capability to derive test requirements for CCA designs, including local and system power verification.
- Proficiency in Cadence PSpice or equivalent for circuit simulation and analysis.
- Experience with Mentor Graphics / Siemens Xpedition for schematic capture and layout.
- Familiarity with Mentor Graphics Siemens power integrity analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of design engineers and stakeholders.
- Self-motivated individual capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with MIL-STD-461 testing for electronics.
- Familiarity with servo motor control circuit design and analysis.
