Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our Critical Infrastructure team at Parsons Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and directing the warehouse/architecture building related scope of our advance manufacturing facility project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and approve budget estimates and staffing assignment schedules on each project, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Manage overall project efforts and coordinate with all stakeholders, including engineering, procurement, construction, and facility operation teams.
  • Monitor project quality and progress, ensuring that project requirements are satisfied and resolving any existing or forecasted problems related to resource, contractor's work, overall quality of work, schedule performance, or productivity.
  • Establish standards and procedures manuals, recommending improvements to procedures as needed.
  • Recruit, interview, and evaluate prospective staffing and subcontractors, ensuring that new employees receive orientation on company policies and procedures.
  • Support pre-contract and business development efforts as required, serving as a technical consultant.
  • Develop the scope of engineering work, schedules, and budgets for assigned project elements, monitoring progress to meet schedule and budget requirements.
  • Determine the scope of procurement work, schedules, and budgets for technical aspects of the contract, interfacing with Procurement and Subcontracts to facilitate procurement coordination with vendors/subcontractors.
  • Participate in bid analysis to help determine supplier availability and capability.
  • Review work produced to ensure that applicable codes, standards, and procedures are followed and that quality is acceptable.
  • Monitor productivity and technical proficiency of assigned technical personnel, making reassignments as project needs arise.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, take corrective action as necessary, and recommend salary actions, providing training and development opportunities for assigned personnel.
  • Coordinate the utilization of interdisciplinary technical personnel on the project, as well as the assignment of personnel from other technical support groups within the company.
  • Assist the Project Manager in planning, directing, supervising, and controlling the execution of technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the project or study.
  • Ensure client criteria and scope are met by all engineering disciplines.
  • Expedite distribution of action items following discussions/meetings with the client and Project Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is required, with 15+ years of relevant experience.
  • Professional registration is preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Comprehensive knowledge of engineering principles and practices combined with a thorough knowledge of project management principles and practices.
  • Current Industrial Manufacturing architectural and engineering principles and practices.
  • Project and program management principles, processes, and practices, including conceptual planning and all phases of design.
  • Integration project and program management information systems, processes, and reporting as it relates to control of scope, scheduling, and cost.
  • Construction techniques and practices, contract administration, and knowledge of general claim management.
  • Knowledge of government regulations, legislation, and standards, safety regulations, and procedures applicable to the project.
  • Sound judgment; highly developed time management, organizational, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills; excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and work with multi-disciplined teams, deal with complex issues, and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, influence, and obtain cooperation from a diverse group of internal and external project stakeholders to achieve the goals and objectives of the project.
  • PMP certification is preferred.
  • Proficiency in the use of a PC and software applications related to the work (Microsoft Office).
