Position Summary:

As the MEP Project Manager (Owner's Representative), you will serve as the essential liaison among the client, contractors, and internal stakeholders. Your responsibility will be to guarantee that the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for data center projects are implemented to the utmost standards, adhering to scope, timelines, and budget constraints. Your role will be vital in steering the complete project lifecycle, from initial design through to final commissioning, ensuring that all MEP elements fulfill the client's operational needs and comply with regulatory requirements.

Key Duties:

  • Project Leadership: Direct and oversee MEP components of data center projects from start to finish, ensuring alignment with project objectives and client satisfaction.
  • Client Engagement: Act as the main point of contact for the client, providing consistent updates, managing expectations, and resolving any issues that arise.
  • Technical Supervision: Evaluate and endorse MEP designs, specifications, and plans. Ensure all systems comply with necessary technical and regulatory standards.
  • Contractor Oversight: Supervise the activities of contractors and vendors, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to project timelines.
  • Financial and Schedule Oversight: Create and manage project budgets and timelines. Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing potential risks.
  • Quality Control: Establish stringent quality assurance processes, ensuring all MEP installations meet the highest standards of efficiency and reliability.
  • Commissioning and Transition: Manage the commissioning phase, ensuring that all MEP systems are thoroughly tested and operational prior to client handover.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering field. An advanced degree or PMP certification is advantageous.
  • 7+ years of experience in MEP project management, particularly within data center settings.
  • Extensive knowledge of MEP systems and their integration in data centers, including cooling, power, fire protection, and security systems.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale, complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong grasp of relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure, with robust problem-solving and decision-making skills.
