DataX Connect is on the lookout for a seasoned MEP Project Manager to oversee the execution of intricate data center initiatives.

Position Summary:

As the MEP Project Manager, you will serve as the key liaison among the client, contractors, and internal teams. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for data center projects are delivered with excellence, adhering to project scope, timelines, and budget constraints. You will play a vital role in managing the project lifecycle, from initial design through to final commissioning, ensuring that all MEP elements align with the client's operational needs and comply with regulatory standards.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Direct and oversee MEP components of data center projects from start to finish, ensuring they meet project objectives and client requirements.
  • Client Engagement: Act as the main point of contact for the client, providing updates, managing expectations, and resolving any issues that arise.
  • Technical Supervision: Evaluate and approve MEP designs, specifications, and plans, ensuring compliance with necessary technical and regulatory standards.
  • Contractor Oversight: Manage the performance of contractors and vendors, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to project timelines.
  • Financial and Schedule Management: Create and manage project budgets and timelines, tracking progress and addressing potential risks proactively.
  • Quality Control: Establish and implement stringent quality assurance processes to ensure all MEP installations meet high performance and reliability standards.
  • Commissioning and Transition: Oversee the commissioning phase, ensuring all MEP systems are thoroughly tested and operational prior to client handover.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering field; advanced degrees or PMP certification are advantageous.
  • 7+ years of experience in MEP project management, particularly within data center settings.
  • Extensive knowledge of MEP systems and their integration in data centers, including cooling, power, fire protection, and security systems.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale, complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities.
  • Proven capability to perform effectively under pressure, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
