Avionics Systems Integration Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Avionics Systems Integration Engineer to join our team at Blue Origin. As an Avionics Systems Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for integrating, analyzing, testing, and validating new generations of avionics hardware and software platforms for various spaceflight systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Integrate avionics hardware and software platforms for spaceflight systems
  • Analyze and test avionics systems to ensure they meet safety and performance requirements
  • Validate avionics systems to ensure they are functioning correctly
  • Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to integrate firmware with other system components
  • Communicate technical information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in electrical or aerospace engineering, physics, or related field
  • 6+ years of experience working with electronics or electrical/electromechanical systems, including hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas: prototyping, design, integration, and/or test
  • Understanding of safety-critical systems development (aerospace, medical, automotive)
  • Experience using common laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, power supplies, programmable loads, and general-purpose data acquisition systems
  • Experience planning and executing tests on software defined radios (SDR), antennas, and other RF systems for spacecraft communications
