About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Avionics Systems Engineer to join our team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our Lunar Permanence business unit, you will play a critical role in developing sustainable infrastructure for transporting crew and cargo from Earth to the Lunar Surface.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and integrate electrical/avionics systems for our spacecraft and ground support equipment.
  • Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and scripts to verify the performance of our avionics systems.
  • Conduct verification and validation testing to ensure the reliability and safety of our systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate vehicle hardware, ground support equipment, and operator consoles.
  • Support the development of lab test tools and software to automate testing processes and improve efficiency.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience working with electronics or electrical/electromechanical systems, including hands-on experience in design, integration, and test.
  • Strong understanding of digital, analog, and mixed-signal parts and their use.
  • Experience integrating and testing vehicle systems.
  • Proficient in the use of standard electronic lab tests and troubleshooting equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with the development and execution of large-scale verification of avionics and RF systems on autonomous spaceflight systems.
