About the Role

Columbus College of Art and Design is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Planning Specialist to join our team. As an Event Planning Specialist, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating events, meetings, and conferences for the college community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Planning and Coordination
    • Collaborate with college departments to plan and coordinate events, meetings, and conferences.
    • Develop and implement event concepts, themes, and logistics.
    • Coordinate with vendors, caterers, and other external partners to ensure seamless event execution.
    • Manage event budgets, timelines, and schedules.
  • Administrative Support
    • Provide administrative support to the Auxiliary Services Department, including data entry, record-keeping, and reporting.
    • Assist with daily operations, including answering phones, responding to emails, and handling mail.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Develop and maintain relationships with college departments, vendors, and external partners.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, and external guests.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
    • Minimum of two years of event planning and administrative experience.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Suite.
    • Knowledge of event planning software and tools.
