Job Title:

Sr. Design Readiness Engineer

Job Summary:

Rose International is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Design Readiness Engineer to join our R&D organization. As a key team member, you will be responsible for ensuring the design readiness of our next-generation robotic platform, which will revolutionize healthcare. You will work closely with manufacturing engineering to transition complex electro-mechanical assemblies from prototype to verification builds and testing.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain assembly and test processes
  • Identify, specify, and develop in-line test and build fixtures
  • Develop and maintain the Bill of Materials (BOM) and Design Master Record (DMR)
  • Specify firmware and software development requirements for test and build fixtures
  • Author relevant documents, including build process, assembly instructions, inspection procedures, test protocols, test reports, analyses, and system documentation
  • Support multi-disciplinary technical and process improvement projects
  • Communicate with vendors and manage procurement issues
  • Support the creation of Design History File (DHF) and release of documentation to the quality system
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of electromechanical R&D engineering experience, with at least 5 years in medical devices
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Robotics, Mechatronics, or Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
  • Deep understanding of DFM, DFA, and DFT
  • Experience in managing engineering projects
  • Expertise in firmware and software within electromechanical systems
  • Knowledge of PCBAs and design verification of complex medical devices
  • Design transfer and new product introduction experience
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Solidworks
