About the Role

Fidelity Digital Assets is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Wallet Architecture to join our team. As a key member of our Architecture Team, you will be responsible for designing and building secure, scalable, and resilient cloud-based services for our digital asset platform.

As the Director of Wallet Architecture, you will work closely with both technology and business teams to ensure that user requirements are met and that our platform is aligned with the company's overall vision. You will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of our wallet architecture, ensuring that it is secure, scalable, and meets the needs of our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Design and build secure, scalable, and resilient cloud-based services for our digital asset platform
  • Lead the design and implementation of our wallet architecture, ensuring that it is secure, scalable, and meets the needs of our customers
  • Work closely with both technology and business teams to ensure that user requirements are met and that our platform is aligned with the company's overall vision
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize technical requirements and develop solutions to meet business needs
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and implementation guides
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve our platform and services
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on cloud-based services and digital asset platforms
  • Deep technical knowledge of at least one public blockchain protocol, transaction processing, and smart contracts
  • Proven record in designing and implementing high-scale, high-performance, and security enterprise platforms
  • Experience in core Java technologies and frameworks like Spring Boot
  • Proficient in SQL with working knowledge of database technologies such as Aurora PostgreSQL
  • Experience building and deploying applications using continuous integration pipelines and automated deployment tools such as Jenkins
  • Experience with asynchronous workers and resilient messaging services
  • Knowledge of systems, controls, and techniques for identity, authorization, and authentication management
  • Can provide leadership and mentorship across small, agile teams in a very collaborative environment where your ideas are welcome
  • Solid analytical, communication, and organizational skills
  • An interest in and experience with cryptocurrencies and a passion for keeping up to date in the space
