Director of Engineering

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, test, and deliver new Catchlight products and capabilities
  • Lead the engineering team in designing, developing, and deploying solutions applying modern web frameworks, machine learning solutions, data engineering technologies, microservices, and cloud-native architecture
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in software engineering, including code quality, testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD)
  • Mentor and develop engineering talent, ensuring the team is equipped with the skills and knowledge to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on building B2B and enterprise applications
  • Proven experience in leading and managing full stack teams in a dynamic startup-like environment
  • Extensive knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks, Python, SQL, and RESTful APIs
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing microservice architectures and code-first data pipelines
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails is highly desirable
