Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Contract & Claims professional to join our high-performing project controls team at Flatiron Construction Corp. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the profitable execution of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze pre-bid proposals and contract documents to identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks during the pursuit and bid phases.
  • Provide ongoing support for active projects, addressing any contractual issues that may arise.
  • Collaborate with operational pursuit teams, business development, legal, insurance, and procurement to identify and pursue risk mitigation and risk transfer opportunities.
  • Develop risk transfer strategies for joint venture, design agreements, and main subcontracts.
  • Prepare opinions and facilitate executive decision making with respect to key issues in project pursuits.
  • Develop risk review and control tools, including policies, processes, and systems.
  • Maintain knowledge of Company's values and strategic plan.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years' experience with construction project contracts.
  • Experience with contracts, negotiations, pursuit management preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Strong collaboration and team player attitude.
