About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a seasoned safety professional to make a meaningful impact on our organization. You will work closely with front-line employees, leadership, and other members of the Safety and Training organization to identify and mitigate safety risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in field observations to identify safety hazards and develop recommendations for improvement
  • Provide safety guidance to employees and leadership on Electric Safety standards and requirements
  • Develop and implement safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with industry regulations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address safety concerns
  • Conduct incident investigations and provide recommendations for improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety or a related technical field (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Science, Business, or Behavioral Sciences)
  • 5+ years of experience in Electric Utilities or Power Generation
  • Proficient in Electric Safety standards and requirements
  • Experience working for an owner/operator
  • Experience writing and implementing safety programs/policies
  • Experience interpreting Electric standards and regulations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering
  • Valid certification as a CSP, ASP, CUSP, OHST, or CHST
  • Master's degree in Safety
