Overview

The Green Energy Consumers Alliance is a nonprofit organization established to empower consumers and communities in accelerating a fair transition to a clean, zero-carbon future. Our dedicated team operates from both Boston and Providence, focusing on integrating consumer-oriented programs with public policy advocacy at state and local levels in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Our consumer programs encompass green electricity, heating solutions, rooftop solar initiatives, energy efficiency, heat pumps, and an electric vehicle program known as Drive Green.

The Rhode Island Energy Policy Specialist will play a pivotal role within our Advocacy Team, aiming to shape state-level legislative and regulatory energy policies, primarily in Rhode Island, with some involvement in Massachusetts. The Specialist will report directly to the Executive Director and collaborate with a team of highly skilled colleagues and partners.

Green Energy Consumers is dedicated to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of our work. We advocate for policies that ensure the benefits of clean energy are accessible to all, particularly to communities that have historically faced challenges and underrepresentation.
