Financial Specialist II

About the Position:
The Financial Specialist II plays a crucial role in the Rhode Island District Court, overseeing financial, accounting, and budgetary activities. This position ensures compliance with guidelines, policies, and internal controls, and is responsible for preparing and analyzing various accounting records, financial statements, and reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinates administrative, technical, and professional work related to financial activities.
- Prepares, updates, and analyzes accounting records, financial statements, and reports.
- Oversees and assists with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Assists with budget preparation and conducts internal reviews, including internal audits and cyclical audits.
- Develops recommendations on procedures for improvements and assists with policy development on financial matters.
Reporting Structure:
This position reports directly to the Administrative Manager, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration within the team.
