Automation Controls Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Automation Controls Specialist to join our team at Johnson Controls. In this role, you will be responsible for performing system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools. You will troubleshoot and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems, and respond to basic warranty calls.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Loads system-level controller software
  • Performs complex commissioning and system diagnostics from system-level controllers to end devices
  • Completes all required commissioning documentation
  • Keeps management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues

Requirements:

  • Two years of industry experience or experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry
  • Effective interpersonal skills to properly represent Johnson Controls to customers and other outside contacts
  • Ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Low voltage/120-volt wiring skills
  • Experience working with Microsoft Excel and Visio
