Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation and Programming Specialist to join our team at Brown and Caldwell. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial control systems, PLC programming, and HMI development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement automation programming for industrial projects, including municipal, industrial, and federal clients.
  • Design, develop, modify, improve, test, and start up PLC and HMI automation projects.
  • Perform submittal reviews from contractors and other system integrator developed automation programming as an owner's advisor.
  • Collaborate with client development teams to support proposal and scope/fee development.
  • Interface with contractors and clients to execute project work.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients and projects, delivering projects successfully, profitably, and to the client's satisfaction.
  • Document system changes for operations and maintenance records.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in an Automation/Programming role, with at least 3 years working on government, municipal, and/or industrial water/wastewater project teams.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley and Unity Pro software platforms for PLCs, and Wonderware and GE iFIX for HMI software platforms.
  • Proven record of working and maintaining relationships with existing clients and projects, with the ability to deliver those projects successfully, profitably, and to the client's satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate the ability to document system changes for operations and maintenance records.
  • Knowledge and experience with business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, and coordination of people and resources.
