Job Overview

Holt Construction Corp is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of construction projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and update construction schedules based on project team input, trade contractor progress, and materials delivery.
  • Setup initial contracts and project information.
  • Prepare monthly owner project status reports for approval by senior project managers.
  • Maintain all tracking logs up to date for accuracy and progress.
  • Create and update weekly meeting minutes and corresponding attachments, and distribute to all attending parties.
  • Review 3rd party testing reports to confirm compliance and follow up as required with project superintendents.
  • Review, track, and distribute RFIs.
  • Create submittal schedules.
  • Review, forward, and track status of submittals to ensure compliance with contract documents.
  • Complete project close-out.
  • Assist in management and/or coordination of the following:
    • Kick-off documentation.
    • Maintain drawing logs and update current drawing sets.
    • Support the development of subcontractor base and MSA execution.
    • Project permit processes and adherence.
    • Assist in the preparation of bid packages and procurement.
    • Track and review approved change order execution and cost of time and material.
    • Issue weekly RFI/submittal and change order logs to ensure all parties are aware of responsibilities and schedule impacts.
    • Issue subcontractor change orders and subsequent execution with the assistance of the project accountant.
    • Development and maintenance of site logistics plans, in coordination with project managers and superintendents.

Requirements:

  • Associates or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of industry experience, with project management experience a plus.
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience, a plus.
  • Working knowledge and efficiency on Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project, Primavera, and/or Procore preferred.
  • Strong and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
