Overview:


Manage the daily operations of the Human Resources department, which includes welcoming both internal and external guests, administering employee benefits programs, conducting enrollments, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues.


Starting Pay Rate:
$23.19

Responsibilities:
Provide assistance to associates with their requests and inquiries. Strive to address associate questions and concerns promptly.

Support the recruitment, screening, and interviewing processes for all management and non-management positions within the hotel.

Collaborate with the Human Resources Director or Manager to guide management staff in effective recruitment and interviewing techniques through presentations and written instructions to ensure the hiring and retention of qualified associates.

Schedule interviews and manage related documentation.

Maintain and update Human Resources bulletin boards and other communication channels as necessary.

Distribute paychecks as required.

Keep accurate and updated records for the department and associates.

Explain various benefits to associates as needed and assist with enrollment and claims processing.

Help organize associate relations events and recognition programs, such as the Associate of the Month and Anniversary Awards.

Process benefits enrollments and other electronic functions as required.

Monitor and update job requisitions as necessary. Communicate hotel job openings internally and externally, following company policy.


Coordinate all pre-selection activities, including drug testing and reference checks, to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Handle all transfer requests within the required timeframe.

Respond to all interviewed applicants via phone or letter within the designated timeframe.


Assist the Director of Human Resources or Manager in achieving the goals outlined in the hotel’s annual Affirmative Action Plan (AAP).


Oversee the administration of wages and benefits to ensure accurate and fair application, analyzing information from moderately complex reports and systems.

Prepare correspondence and memos as needed.

Maintain applicant flow logs and data.

Ensure all new hires and current associates have proper employment eligibility verifications.

Adhere to attendance policies and be available to work regularly.

Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

Experience in the hotel industry is preferred.


Familiarity with hotel operations, including marketing strategies, safety programs, labor relations, business planning, maintenance, budget forecasting, quality assurance, hospitality law, and long-term planning.

Strong leadership skills to motivate and develop staff and ensure the achievement of goals.

Able to prioritize, plan, organize, and delegate effectively.

Excellent written communication skills to convey information clearly and concisely.

Ability to work efficiently under time constraints and meet deadlines.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style to various audiences, including supervisors, coworkers, and the public.
