Responsibilities:

As an MRI Imaging Technician, you will:

  • Operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to capture diagnostic images for physicians.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the principles and physics of MRI technology.
  • Select appropriate imaging techniques and protocols for examinations.
  • Engage with patients, explain the examination process, position them correctly, perform IV punctures, and administer contrast agents as needed.
  • Independently conduct and finalize routine imaging examinations.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure safety, care, and efficiency.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and care delivery.
Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you should possess:

  • An Associate Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or a minimum of one year of related experience and/or training.
  • Current ARRT (R) or (MR) certification.
  • Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
  • The ability to interact with individuals of all ages.
  • Preferred: At least one year of experience as an MRI Imaging Technician.
Physical Requirements:

This position requires:

  • The ability to see and read information, labels, and assess patient needs.
  • Frequent communication with patients and care providers, requiring clear verbal communication and active listening.
  • Manual dexterity to operate complex equipment with precision.
  • Regular computer use for documentation and information access.
  • The capability to lift and transfer patients and equipment, including heavy items.
  • Mobility to assist with patient transport and navigate busy environments.
