Key Responsibilities:

As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Specialist, your expertise will include:

  • Operating MRI equipment to capture diagnostic images for physician evaluation.
  • Possessing a comprehensive understanding of magnetic resonance imaging principles and physics.
  • Selecting suitable imaging techniques and protocols for each examination.
  • Welcoming patients, explaining the examination process, positioning them correctly, and administering IV contrast when necessary.
  • Independently conducting and completing standard imaging procedures.
  • Ensuring effective communication and coordination with patients, families, and the healthcare team to guarantee safety and quality care.
  • Engaging in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and care delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree or equivalent from an accredited institution; or a minimum of one year of relevant experience and/or training.
  • Current ARRT (R) or (MR) certification.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Ability to effectively interact with patients of all ages.
  • Preferred: At least one year of experience as an MRI Technologist.

Physical Demands:

The role requires the ability to see and read information, interact with patients and staff, and operate complex equipment. You will need to lift and move patients and equipment, and stand for extended periods.
