Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist PRN to join our Diagnostic Imaging team at SCL Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance scanners to obtain high-quality images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate magnetic resonance scanners to obtain high-quality images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies.
  • Select appropriate imaging techniques and protocols to complete exams.
  • Receive patients, explain examination methods, and position patients for imaging.
  • Administer IV contrast agents when indicated.
  • Independently perform and complete routine examinations.
  • Meet patient, family, and multidisciplinary team needs through effective communication, coordination, and documentation.
  • Actively participate in quality initiatives to ensure high levels of patient satisfaction, care, and workflow efficiency.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • Current ARRT (R) or (MR) certification.
  • Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
  • Ability to interact with people of all ages.
  • At least one year of experience as a MRI Technologist.
Physical Requirements
  • Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
  • Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy.
  • Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients.
  • Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment.
