Responsibilities:


As an MRI Imaging Technician, your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating magnetic resonance imaging equipment to capture diagnostic images for physicians.
  • Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the principles and physics underlying magnetic resonance imaging.
  • Selecting suitable imaging techniques and protocols to conduct examinations.
  • Welcoming patients, explaining the examination process, positioning them appropriately, performing IV punctures, and administering IV contrast agents as necessary.
  • Independently executing and finalizing routine imaging examinations.
  • Communicating effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure safety, care, courtesy, and efficiency.
  • Actively engaging in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and care delivery.
Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • An Associate Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or a minimum of one year of relevant experience and/or training.
  • Current ARRT (R) or (MR) certification.
  • Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with individuals of all ages.
  • Preferred: At least one year of experience as an MRI Imaging Technician.
Physical Requirements:

Essential physical abilities include:

  • Visual acuity to read information, assess patient needs, and operate equipment.
  • Frequent verbal communication and auditory comprehension, especially in emergency situations.
  • Manual dexterity for operating delicate equipment with precision.
  • Regular computer use for documenting patient care and accessing information.
  • Ability to lift and move patients, including navigating crowded environments.
