As an MRI Imaging Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Operating magnetic resonance imaging equipment to capture diagnostic images for physicians.
- Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the principles and physics underlying magnetic resonance imaging.
- Selecting suitable imaging techniques and protocols to conduct examinations.
- Welcoming patients, explaining the examination process, positioning them appropriately, performing IV punctures, and administering IV contrast agents as necessary.
- Independently executing and finalizing routine imaging examinations.
- Communicating effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure safety, care, courtesy, and efficiency.
- Actively engaging in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and care delivery.
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- An Associate Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or a minimum of one year of relevant experience and/or training.
- Current ARRT (R) or (MR) certification.
- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with individuals of all ages.
- Preferred: At least one year of experience as an MRI Imaging Technician.
Essential physical abilities include:
- Visual acuity to read information, assess patient needs, and operate equipment.
- Frequent verbal communication and auditory comprehension, especially in emergency situations.
- Manual dexterity for operating delicate equipment with precision.
- Regular computer use for documenting patient care and accessing information.
- Ability to lift and move patients, including navigating crowded environments.
