Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our team at Apex Systems. As a key member of our IT support team, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our clients and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, iPads, and peripherals.
  • Respond to Tier II support requests via phone, email, and Microsoft Teams, interacting with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Follow established procedures for performing configuration changes, updates, and upgrades, and assist in the deployment of new images, software/hardware upgrades, and fixes.
  • Document incident/problem status and resolution in tracking logs, alert team members about recurring problems, and communicate updates on issues in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction and productivity.
  • Troubleshoot problems, evaluating multiple options to resolve customer problems using checklists and scripts as guides, and research trouble issues at the direction of others.
Requirements
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Technical working knowledge of Windows 10 and Office 365.
  • Office 365 experience, including OneDrive, MS Teams, SharePoint, and MS Office Pro Plus.
  • Working knowledge of Dell/Apple hardware, including desktops/laptops with docks supporting single and multiple display configurations and iPads.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Working knowledge of Audio/Visual equipment and technology to support department meetings using WebEx and Zoom conferencing software.
  • Ability to work in a team and educational environment.
  • Ability to travel between centers and partnership schools.
  • Flexible hours and support during weekends as needed.
Physical Requirements

The physical requirements of this role include frequently lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds, visual acuity, speech, and hearing, hand and eye coordination, and manual dexterity necessary to operate basic office equipment. The working conditions are primarily inside an office environment.
