Job Summary

Milestone Electric, Air & Plumbing is seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Plumber to join our team. As a Quality Control Plumber, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of plumbing installations and meeting city inspectors for inspections.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct quality control checks on plumbing installations to ensure compliance with city regulations and industry standards.
  • Perform minor plumbing repairs to pass city inspections.
  • Participate in the training of technicians to ensure they meet the company's quality standards.
  • Build and maintain relationships with other plumbers and stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Identify and correct improper plumbing installations, providing clear explanations and recommendations for improvement.
  • Utilize excellent communication skills to interact with customers and inspectors, ensuring a positive experience for all parties involved.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulations, including the 2015 IPC, IRC, and IFGC.
  • Occasionally run regular service calls to ensure customer satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Master or Journeyman License with the Texas State Board of Plumbing is required.
  • 5-10 years of residential plumbing experience is required.
  • A mix of residential service, new construction, and commercial experience is a plus.
  • A clean driving record and current valid driver's license are required.
  • The ability to pass a drug test and background check is required.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.
  • Excellent work ethic and leadership skills are required.
  • The ability to work well in a team environment is necessary.
Physical and Mental Requirements
  • The ability to lift and move items of 75 pounds and/or more on a regular basis and repetitively lift weights of 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces is required.
  • The ability to climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop on a frequent basis for extended periods is required.
  • The ability to work in cramped or high places, such as attics, ladders, and tunnels, is required.
  • The ability to carry heavy items up and down stairs is required.
  • The ability to work in extreme weather conditions, including but not limited to extreme heat, rain, snow, or sleet, is required.
  • Mental skills, such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and a technical vocabulary, are required to understand direction and adhere to established procedures.
  • The ability to adapt well in the face of workplace stressors, such as customer service complaints, is required.
  • The ability to complete a Job Physical Assessment is required.
