Key Responsibilities
  • Tool Design and Development:
    • Read and interpret technical blueprints and design specifications to develop tools and dies that meet our high-quality standards.
    • Collaborate with our engineering team to understand specific requirements and troubleshoot problems.
  • Machine Operation and Maintenance:
    • Operate and maintain machines, including lathes, milling machines, and grinders, to cut, bore, grind, or shape parts to precise dimensions and finishes.
    • Perform regular maintenance on machine tools to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Quality Control and Assurance:
    • Measure finished parts to ensure they meet specifications using precise measurement tools.
    • Inspect finished products for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Tool Repair and Maintenance:
    • Repair damaged or worn-out tools and dies to ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience:
    • Proven experience as a Tool and Die Maker or equivalent role in a manufacturing environment.
    • Technical degree or certification in engineering, manufacturing technology, or a relevant field.
  • Skills and Qualifications:
    • Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and design models.
    • Proficiency with computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software.
    • Knowledge of metal properties and other materials.
    • Experience with precision measurement tools.
    • Strong manual dexterity and ability to use hand tools.
