About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Project Scientist to join our team at Broadbent & Associates, Inc. in Reno, Nevada. As a key member of our environmental remediation and water resources team, you will be responsible for overseeing a wide range of complex environmental projects in Nevada and California.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement project plans, technical documents, and reports for federal, state, and local agencies
  • Prepare and review proposals for new clientele, including federal, state, and private industry
  • Manage budgets and develop the scope of environmental assessment and remediation projects from our diverse portfolio
  • Conduct regular field visits to ensure project execution and adherence to technical and health and safety procedures
  • Review and approve vendor work proposals and invoices
  • Write project reports, analyze data, and prepare final reports for senior review
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in earth or environmental science related field
  • Five or more years of experience in geological assessments, water supply, water treatment, environmental assessments, contaminant investigation, contaminant remediation, storm water management, wastewater treatment, permitting projects, or compliance projects in the public and private sectors
  • Strong working knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations and experience interacting with governmental regulatory agencies
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while ensuring compliance with deliverable timelines
  • Professional Registration/Certification or ability to attain within two years of hire
  • Ability to travel within the western regional US

Work Schedule and Location

This full-time project management position typically works Monday - Friday with some traveling, overnight and weekend work. May engage extended two or three week projects regarding emergency response (voluntary).
