About the Role:

Bowman Consulting Group, Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex mechanical systems, leading project teams, and ensuring the successful execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Direction: Receive broad guidance and direction on highly complex assignments, independently apply extensive knowledge of engineering principles and practices, and review work produced by staff for quality assurance.
  • Project Development and Execution: Design complex mechanical systems, create reports, and oversee designs through project construction/completion. Communicate effectively with engineers, project managers, and clients, and conduct field observations visits to accurately document existing field conditions.
  • Technical Expertise: Apply broad knowledge of engineering principles and procedures, and possess a working knowledge of all codes applicable to the discipline. Develop and maintain a working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit software.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or architectural engineering required.
  • Experience: Ten or more (10+) years of relevant industry-related experience, in design of industrial, multi-family (low- and high-rise), commercial, government, academic, R&D, and similar projects.
  • Skills: Knowledge of plumbing and fire protection systems, AutoCAD, REVIT, CHVAC/RHVAC, TraneTrace, and/or eQuest modeling software. EIT and LEED accreditation strongly preferred. Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.

Working Environment:

Primarily indoor professional office environment with occasional travel for site and client visits. Occasional outdoor work environment with mobility around a job/construction site, including walking, bending, crawling, climbing, use of ladders, squatting, or kneeling, and wearing of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Compensation:

Salary and eligible variable compensation commensurate with experience. Range $100,000+ and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
