Client Relations Specialist

SUMMARY:
Under close supervision, the Client Relations Specialist is tasked with accurately processing customer requests and managing incoming inquiries.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Addresses fundamental customer questions regarding products, provides estimates, and manages order processing.
• Facilitates customer orders through various channels including phone, fax, email, and in-person interactions.
• Contributes to Genuine Parts Company's profitability by negotiating pricing within established guidelines.
• May modify non-contract customer pricing to remain competitive while maximizing company profits.
• Cultivates customer relationships to encourage repeat business and enhance process efficiencies.
• Manages inventory orders to ensure adequate stock levels for clients.
• Authorized to place orders without prior approval for amounts up to $5,000 per line and $10,000 per purchase order.
• Responsible for sourcing products from branch, distribution center, or supplier inventories.
• Identifies the most cost-effective shipping options for customer orders.
• Collaborates with Account Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Expedites backorders and may prepare inventory for shipment to clients.
• May handle customer returns.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Typically requires a high school diploma or GED and zero (0) to three (3) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
• Dependability, organizational skills, and attention to detail are essential.
• Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and listening abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and strong time management skills are required.
• Moderate computer proficiency, including information processing, internal and external communication via email, utilizing business systems, and product research online.
• Familiarity with product knowledge is preferred.
