The Lead Mechanical Systems Engineer will be instrumental in crafting detailed contract documents and specifications for intricate building systems. This role involves overseeing multiple projects concurrently, spanning both design and construction phases. Key responsibilities include advanced calculations, systems analysis, quality assurance, and on-site coordination.

  • Design HVAC systems for various commercial projects, focusing on equipment selection and efficiency.
  • Evaluate system alternatives and review existing installations.
  • Coordinate project documentation with internal teams and clients.
  • Employ AutoCAD and Revit for design work in accordance with relevant codes.
  • Draft specifications for HVAC systems to ensure compliance and performance.
  • Offer bid and construction phase support including bid evaluations, RFIs, and field documentation.
  • Act as a technical expert for a variety of HVAC systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in HVAC system design and project oversight.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; experience with Revit is advantageous.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC system design, regulatory compliance, and construction management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
