Maternal Health Nurse Specialist

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Maternity Support Services (MSS) team in Vancouver, WA. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to pregnant women and new mothers, promoting healthy outcomes and empowering them to take control of their health.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and observe client needs, providing education and support to promote self-efficacy and healthy decision-making.
- Communicate effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds, recognizing cultural, environmental, and socio-economic factors that may impact their ability to receive and retain information.
- Participate in monthly provider meetings and quarterly Community First Steps meetings to stay informed and collaborate with colleagues.
- Document all nursing visits in the client MSS EHR system.
- BSN/RN with recent maternal/infant, community, or public health experience.
- Effective oral/written communication skills, assessment, and intervention skills, with the ability to recognize and support health behavior change.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification within 90 days of hire date and maintenance throughout employment.
- Access to an insured vehicle for home visits.
