Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and teach housestaff in the resident outpatient practice, utilizing evidence-based methods to promote exceptional patient care.
  • Conduct daily teaching rounds on the inpatient housestaff teaching service, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners at all levels.
  • Participate in clinical and educational research, exploring innovative solutions to improve patient outcomes and healthcare delivery.
  • Collaborate with institutional staff and administration to advance the strategic objectives of VCU Health System, ensuring patient safety, satisfaction, and fiscal health.

Requirements
  • Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine.
  • Direct experience managing complex inpatients.
