Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team at the Ohio Department of Education. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting students with autism and related developmental disabilities in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support to students with autism and related developmental disabilities in a school setting.
  • Implement behavior reduction protocols and skills instruction to promote student success.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Conduct behavioral assessments and develop data-driven interventions to support student progress.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of student progress and behavior.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. special education, psychology, behavioral sciences).
  • Experience working with students with autism and related developmental disabilities.
  • Knowledge of behavior reduction protocols and skills instruction.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.
  • Valid Ohio driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience working in a school setting.
  • Knowledge of Ohio Department of Education policies and procedures.
