Job Summary:

OhioGuidestone is seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team. As a Behavioral Health Specialist, you will provide school-based and community-based case management services to children and families with mental health and substance use diagnoses in Fairfield County.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop a service relationship with each client to help them develop insight into themselves and their relationships.

Provide cognitive-behavioral therapy to assist individuals struggling with a range of issues related to their emotional and behavioral health.

Review diagnostic evaluations and additional assessments to aid in the ongoing development and implementation of a client's individualized treatment plan.

May provide Ohio Department of Medicaid behavioral health and addiction services within scope of practice.

Assess clients for high-risk behavior and serve as a liaison to coordinate referrals or arrange for appropriate community resources when needed.

Perform related administrative responsibilities, including maintaining client information, reports, records, and other documents.

Requirements:

High school diploma with 3 years of mental health or related experience, or an Associate's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field with 1 year of mental health or related experience.

Bachelor's or Master's degree, LSW/LPC preferred.
