Job Title: Behavior Technician

Position Type: Student Support Services/Behavior Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Behavior Technician to join our team at Lancaster City Schools. The successful candidate will work closely with our students with autism and related developmental disabilities, providing skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols to students with autism and related developmental disabilities
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to develop and implement individualized behavior plans
  • Conduct behavioral assessments and develop data-driven interventions to support student success
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure seamless support and services
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current on best practices in behavior support and autism education

Requirements:

  • Holds or is eligible to obtain full ODE licensure and/or an Ohio aide permit
  • Minimum one year of experience working directly with children with autism and related developmental disabilities
  • High School Diploma required; college coursework in behavioral sciences, psychology, special education, human development, or a related field preferred
  • Successful completion of BCI/FBI background checks
  • Valid Ohio driver's license
