Job Summary:

Air Methods is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rotor Wing Pilot to join our team. As a key member of our flight crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe transportation of medical crew and patients to receiving hospitals within our assigned operational area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate Air Methods aircraft in a safe and legal manner.
  • Complete pre-flight checks to verify the aircraft is airworthy.
  • Final authority on aircraft operations and passenger safety.
  • Responsible for completion of required documentation.
  • Conduct detailed flight planning with little notice to exacting standards.
  • Participate in Air Methods meetings, activities, and community outreach.

Requirements:

  • Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school and two to five years related experience.
  • Commercial & Instrument Rating for category and class of aircraft.
  • First OR Second Class FAA Medical certificate required.
  • Must have flown in category for a commercial operator or in the military within the previous 24 months.
  • Must be thoroughly familiar with all aircraft and medical systems.

Additional Requirements:

  • Regular scheduled attendance.
  • Subject to applicable laws and Air Methods policies, regular attendance is an essential function of the position.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
