Element Science is seeking a highly experienced Senior Director, Commercial Operations to lead our supply chain function. This strategic and tactical role will oversee all aspects of our supply chain, with a focus on Reverse Logistics, Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), and Inventory Management.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute supply chain strategies that support the company's overall business objectives.
- Reverse Logistics: Oversee all aspects of reverse logistics, including product returns, refurbishments, recalls, and disposal.
- Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP): Lead the S&OP process, ensuring alignment between sales forecasts, production planning, and inventory management.
- Inventory Management: Develop and implement inventory management strategies to ensure optimal stock levels, minimize excess inventory, and avoid stockouts.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all supply chain activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements and quality standards.
- Operational Efficiency: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Vendor and Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
- Team Development: Build and develop a high-performing supply chain team through effective hiring, training, and performance management.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role.
- Extensive experience in the DME industry or other highly regulated environments.
- Proven track record of successfully managing reverse logistics, S&OP, and inventory management functions.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards related to medical devices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
