Job Summary

The Sales Engineer will serve as the technical expert assisting the sales team with prospects to transition a prospect into a successful client. The Sales Engineer will support the sales team in progressing sales processes to closure through the various sale stages. The Sales Engineer is responsible for requirements gathering, and supporting the design, implementation and coordination of activities concerning the technical solution and application of ITA Group products and integrated solutions to meet company objectives as it pertains to new business and technical projects. The Sales Engineer is also responsible for the smooth transition of clients to the operations team once a client has purchased a program. The ideal candidate will be able to have technical conversations that translate to keen understandings of the prospective work being proposed.

Key Responsibilities

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (i.e. Computer Science or equivalent) or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum five years' experience in technology / consulting / software industry.
• Minimum five years' experience using data and process concepts to determine business requirements and design technology solutions.
• In-depth experience in scoping and delivering web applications or web-based products to support the design of the new solution.
• Significant client-facing experience, preferably in a pre-sale or client application delivery role.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent presentation skills are a must.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to guide the team in a dynamic environment.
• Experience working in an agile environment and Project Management experience is highly preferred.
• Ability to work independently with a minimum amount of direct supervision.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams located internationally.
• Ability to manage, prioritize and assign tasks to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work the time necessary to complete projects and/or meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with the sales process for SaaS software is preferred.
• Familiarity with the product development lifecycle for technology products.
• Solid IT or technology sales background with strong technical and communication skills.
• Proven problem solving, critical thinking and analytical thinking.
• Understanding of programming languages, databases and cloud platforms.
• Ability to travel up to 35% of the time, with international travel required.
• Ability to listen, understand and respond to external and internal customers' needs in a timely manner; customer service experience in a service-related industry preferred.
• Ability to work the time necessary to complete projects and/or meet deadlines.
