The role of the Application Engineer is crucial as it serves as a technical liaison between sales and distribution, focusing on the definition, sourcing, and engineering of new offerings from SwapLoader.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver thorough technical assistance to distributors, customers, and SwapLoader Regional Sales Managers regarding product applications and integration.
  • Provide engineering expertise in product selection, hydraulic systems, and truck specifications for the implementation of new products.
  • Maintain an expert-level understanding of installations, staying updated on truck specifications, including transmissions, engines, and potential installation challenges.
  • Offer post-sale support by supplying technical knowledge related to maintenance, service parts, and troubleshooting.
  • Assist in the development of revenue-generating products such as PTOs, pumps, controls, fenders, bumpers, lights, tarps, toolboxes, and bodies.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor of Engineering degree is mandatory.
  • Experience in the truck equipment or heavy equipment sector is advantageous.
  • Strong oral and written communication, organizational, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, adapt to changes, and work effectively under pressure is necessary.
  • Self-motivation, creativity, and strong listening skills are crucial.
  • Capability to present ideas and communicate effectively to individuals and groups while working independently is important.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
